The Delivery Rider Role at Zepto
The work is hands on: collect the order, secure it in your delivery bag, ride to the customer, and complete the handover politely. Routes stay concentrated in Vepery and adjoining pockets of Chennai, so you will not be crossing the city for a single order. For this position, monthly earnings are in the range of ₹23,000–₹29,000, depending on shifts worked in Vepery.
The position is part-time, and Zepto leaves it to delivery riders in Chennai to decide which hours they work.
Responsibilities
- Ride safely on short routes, especially in residential lanes
- Confirm the customer's name or order number at handover
- Follow the customer's delivery instructions in the app
- Park responsibly at pickup and drop off points
- Wait at dark stores only as long as needed and inform support if there is a long delay
- Stay within the assigned delivery zone during a shift
- Follow the delivery sequence shown in the app when carrying multiple orders
Eligibility Criteria
- Two-wheeler with valid registration certificate (RC)
- Any valid government photo ID
- Smartphone with GPS and a working data plan
- Minimum age 18 years
- Valid two-wheeler insurance
- Own bike or scooter for deliveries
- Two-wheeler driving licence issued by the RTO
